Shin’s girlfriend Ryoko tries to find him and, by a fateful coincidence, boards the same flight as the Area 88 squadron commander, Saki Vashutal. His girlfriend Ryoko seeks to buy Shin’s way out of the Area 88 squadron and goes to Shin’s rival, Kanzaki, to help raise the money, unaware that it was Kanzaki who tricked Shin into joining Area 88 in the first place.
